How to START reading the Bible?

What we want are men that not perfect. No man, no elder, no pastor is, but men that are faithful and they they study to do and then to teach. >> Yeah. [clears throat] [snorts] >> Yeah. And I, you know, I think one of the things too in answering the question, how to start reading the Bible? Um, h how are we to read the the words of the Bible? Um, when we approach the text, I I think it's important for all of us, for all believers, for all Christians to understand that we're not attending to the nakedness of the words, but we're attending to the sense intended by the divine author. >> Amen. >> And so, I think it's understand it's important to understand that when we read the scriptures and we we come across passages such as Christ saying, "The father is greater than I." How do I read the Bible there? Am I to understand that in the naked of nakedness of the words that I'm confronted with that Jesus the son of God is somehow less than the father or do I take the sense of the scriptures as a whole and as it's been understood by the church and see that okay Christ assumed our humanity for our recovery and our redemption so that he must there be speaking according to that assumed humanity because God cannot be less than
