CTF April 2025: Benefits for lay people, elders, deacons & more

uh can let's take a little time and discuss who the conference is for and I mean in our our vision we say it's for pastors for elders deacons for people who want to learn more including um anyone who attends church can we speak a little on what they hope to gain by attending the conference um what they hope to learn and how they'll be benefited by it MH go ahead um well I I think one of the things is you know a measure of the spirit of the conference is to demonstrate solidarity um you know amongst the Churches of Christ in in this area and Beyond I think one of the things that uh that we want to see that Christ wanted to see the lord of the church is Unity among the churches and unity uh for the sake of and at the point of Truth um so I think one of the things is to to demonstrate collegially the solidarity that we have across uh you know across the reformed churches um and we would hope the churches at large so I think demonstrating that theological solidarity demonstrating The Connection to the Past that we have and a stream of a stream of creedalism and confessionalism that reaches back to the New Testament um and I I I think encouraging uh encouraging a um a seeking after the truth and uh emphasizing the importance of Doctrine I I think you know if we look at if we look at the landscape of the modern church and and I we we don't want to throw a blanket across it but there there's a lot of an emphasis on on feelings
