The Freeness of the Priceless Feast, Part 2
Isaiah 55:3–13 grounds the free gospel summons in the covenant of grace secured by Jesus Christ, the greater David and covenant champion. The sure mercies of David — an everlasting covenant made with Christ and all the elect in him — are fulfilled in the resurrection of the Son, as Paul's sermon in Acts 13 makes plain. The response to that summons is fourfold: seek, call, forsake, and return — not as the price of the feast, but as the fruit of regenerating grace. The passage closes with the guarantee that God's word never returns void, that the redeemed go out in joy and peace, and that Christ the second Adam has reversed the curses of Genesis 3, securing an abundant, priceless feast for all who believe.
