Baptism - Chauncey Knegt
CKChauncey Knegt
Three believers are baptized by immersion upon personal profession of faith and repentance, following the pattern of believers' baptism as confessed in the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. Each candidate gives testimony to the sovereign grace of God in their conversion — from effectual calling under the preached word, to assurance grounded in the finished work of Christ, to the covenant obligations of church membership. The service underscores that baptism is a sign of union with Christ in his death and resurrection, a public act of obedience to Christ's command, and the believer's entry into the mutual accountabilities of a local church.
